睡眠不足或长期睡眠不深(慢性睡眠障碍),除了使身体面临更高的各种疾病风险,如心脏病、肥胖、高血压、抑郁症和中风,还会导致我们的身体产生更少的细胞因子(Cytokines)。
这种细胞因子是一种蛋白质,有助于治疗炎症、感染并为身体建立免疫系统(Immune System)。因此,如果您的睡眠质量不佳或每天睡眠少于8小时,将导致免疫系统功能下降(Low Immune System),从而降低对病毒的保护(Decrease Natural Killer Cell Activity)。
它还会导致大脑产生更少的生长激素(Growth Hormone),而这种激素是某些类型白细胞生成的促进剂,使身体抵抗病毒和外来物质。因此,为了增强身体的免疫力,在毒性污染、许多新疾病和传染病盛行的时代,获得足够的优质休息和睡眠是维护健康的主要因素。
NK细胞(Natural Killer Cell)——身体对抗病毒的免疫系统。
它是一种存在于体内的白细胞。它仅占淋巴细胞(Lymphocyte)总数的15%,但它在不经过刺激和学习异常细胞(Antigen Stimulation)过程的情况下,具有破坏病毒感染细胞和癌细胞的重要功能。因此,NK细胞白细胞发挥着重要作用,它就像免疫系统(Innate Immune System)的第一道防线,用于在早期发现和破坏癌细胞并控制各种病毒感染。
研究发现,NK细胞白细胞的性能随着年龄的增长而下降,这与癌症发病率随年龄增长而增加有关3-7。但除了年龄,还有其他因素会削弱NK细胞的能力,例如:
- 睡眠质量差或每天睡眠少于8小时
- 不运动。这是因为运动是刺激免疫系统更好地工作的一种方式9。
- 饮食不健康或患有肥胖症(Obesity disease),例如摄入高糖或高脂肪食物,且水果和蔬菜摄入不足,这将对身体免疫系统的功能产生负面影响。这是因为身体没有足够的矿物质和维生素来帮助增强免疫系统。
- 累积的压力。因为当身体压力越大时,应激激素皮质醇会削弱免疫系统,使身体更容易受到感染。
- 目前,医疗专业人员可以通过抽血检查NK细胞计数(NK Cell Count)和NK细胞活性(NK Cell Activity)来评估个体破坏病毒和癌细胞的能力。这项检查的好处是,如果发现免疫系统水平低于正常值,感染病毒的机会将更容易,并且难以恢复,包括增加患癌症的风险。
建议进行NK细胞计数和NK细胞活性检查的人群。
- 有频繁感染史,如疱疹、带状疱疹、肝炎、频繁感冒、曾患甲型或乙型流感、禽流感、冠状病毒热等。
- 有癌症家族史
- 处于慢性疲劳状态。
- 有持续吸烟史
- 有长期接触激素或环境污染物史
- 超重或肥胖(男性体脂百分比超过28%,女性超过32%)
- 希望进行预防性分析的健康人,以监测先天免疫系统的功能,这是一种自身的非特异性防御机制(Nonspecific Defense Mechanism)。
为了身体健康,您应该更加关注您的免疫系统。因为它被认为是身体重要的保护屏障,因此,均衡饮食,摄入各种食物,并补充蓝莓、舞茸、灵芝、大蒜等食物,或某些经过研究证明有助于滋养免疫系统的膳食补充剂,如冬虫夏草(cordyceps)、MGN-3(Biobran米糠提取物)、白藜芦醇(Resveratrol)、灵芝提取物(extract from reishi mushrooms)、AHCC(extract from mycelium of various mushrooms)、槲皮素(Quercetin)(存在于许多水果、绿叶蔬菜和谷物中的多酚类黄酮)、维生素C和益生菌等,也可以帮助提高NK细胞活性15-17。
促进免疫力的活动
- 定期锻炼或每天步行10,000步。
- 获得充足的休息。睡眠8-9小时,如果您想改善睡眠质量,可以使用褪黑素、缬草根或薰衣草等膳食补充剂。
- 放松、冥想、散步。
- 始终观察自己的身体。如果出现异常症状,如频繁感染,应咨询医生进行彻底检查。
