What are veneers?
Veneers are thin ceramic shells bonded to the front surface of your teeth to refine their shape, colour and alignment in proportion to your face. What to know before choosing veneers
- A thin layer of enamel is reduced. Generally less than for a crown, but it is not reversible. Your dentist assesses the thickness needed for your case first.
- Your oral health must be ready. Decay, gum inflammation or calculus must be treated and scaled beforehand — which is why an OPG X-Ray is part of the package.
- Tell your dentist if you grind your teeth. It affects the material chosen and may call for a night guard alongside.
- Aftercare makes them last. Brush and floss as usual, avoid biting hard objects with your front teeth, and have an oral check-up every 6 months

How much do veneers cost?

How are veneers different from crowns?
Veneers bond to the front surface only, so far less tooth structure is removed — ideal for refining the colour and shape of front teeth. A crown covers the whole tooth and suits teeth that have lost a lot of structure or have had root canal treatment. -
Does it hurt, and how many visits does it take?
The procedure is done under local anaesthetic, so it is not painful. It usually takes several visits — consultation and Digital Smile Design, trying the smile with a Mock-Up, and the day the veneers are bonded. Your dentist confirms the exact number after assessing your teeth. -
How long do veneers last?
It depends mainly on aftercare and how you use your teeth. Brushing and flossing consistently, avoiding biting hard objects with the front teeth and having an oral check-up every 6 months all help. -
What is a Mock-Up, and do I need one?
A Mock-Up is a temporary simulation of the new smile placed on your own teeth, so you can see and live with the new shape before deciding. It lets you adjust the design before anything permanent is done, which is why it is included in this package. -
Where can I see before – after results?
The before-and-after smile makeover case gallery is on the Dental Before & After Gallery. Results differ from person to person depending on facial structure and the condition of your own teeth. Your dentist will simulate your own smile with a Mock-Up before you decide.
