What Are Natural Killer Cells?
NK cells, or Natural Killer Cells, are a specialized type of white blood cell (lymphocyte) produced in the bone marrow as part of your immune system. Unlike other immune cells, NK cells act immediately, without needing prior exposure to a pathogen. They are your body's rapid-response force.
Normally, NK cells account for approximately 5–20% of circulating lymphocytes.
