Matters of the heart ♡ are considered important becauseDateWorld Heart Day 2023We therefore want everyone to take care of their hearts to always be healthy.
Over the past several decades cardiovascular disease (Cardiovascular diseases, CVDs) still holds the record for being the world's most deadly disease, accounting for approximately 17.9 million people in 2019 and 20.5 million people in 2021. It is also the leading cause of death for Thai people, or more than 70,000 deaths per year.
In line with this year's motto of the World Heart Federation:Use Heart Know HeartSo we have 3 tips to help you take better care of your heart.
Use your heart♡ to eat well.
- Eat 4-6 scoops of vegetables and fruits daily.
- Eat low-fat or lean meats such as fish, chicken (skinless), and tofu.
- Eat rice, flour, whole grains, and various types of nuts.
- Avoid processed foods and meats such as sausage, pork sausage, and Chinese sausage.
- Avoid eating beverages that are high in sugar, such as soft drinks and fruit juices.
- Avoid foods that are too sweet, oily, and salty.
- Avoid all types of alcoholic beverages.
Use your mind♡ to move your body more.
- Exercise at a moderate intensity for at least 150 minutes per week, or approximately 30 minutes per day, 5 days per week. or exercise at a high level of intensity Get at least 75 minutes per week.
- There is more physical activity such as housework, dancing, going up and down stairs, walking, cycling.
Use your heart ♡ to refuse smoking.
- To make our heart health better
- After quitting smoking, it has been found that within 1 to 2 years the risk of developing coronary heart disease can be reduced by as much as 50% and gradually decreases in the long term.
- Avoid exposure to cigarette smoke from others (Second-hand smoker), which is one of the causes of heart disease in non-smokers.
On September 29th of every year,World Heart DayWe therefore invite everyone to join us in using our "heart" to preserve our "heart" so that we can continue to be with the people we love for as long as possible.
